A View Here Is Won Twice
On autoplay platforms, being served is being counted. YouTube long-form works the other way around. First the video wins a click — a deliberate choice made against a column of competing thumbnails — and then it has to win the watch, because YouTube's counting machinery validates that playback was real and meaningful before it lets the public number keep it.
That machinery is famous for a reason. Counts on this platform get frozen, re-checked and quietly revised downward when the system doubts what it saw; it has behaved that way for well over a decade, and it is the reason "views" on YouTube carry a credibility no other platform's equivalent enjoys.
For a buyer this cuts one clear way: inventory quality is not a nicety here, it is the entire product. Views that cannot survive validation were never views at all — you would be paying to watch a number appear and then be clawed back. Ours are delivered as genuine playbacks, at a pace the auditing machinery has no reason to doubt, which is slower than a botnet and permanent in a way a botnet never is.
